We here at FilmTiki want you to get your voice heard - that's why we're developing the FilmTiki ShoutBox. It's going to be a place for you to tell the world about the issues you face when trying to get your film seen and the difficulties in finding a movie distributor or the right channel for marketing your film. Of course, we also encourage filmmakers from around the world to talk about your success stories and show the wider film community there are many ways to get in touch with an audience and promote your film.

We want you to start thinking about:

* Your general experience of the film industry
* Emerging promotion and distribution channels you've used
* Getting into film festivals
* Any recurrent promotion or distribution problems you think could be solved
* Your experiences with securing funding for your movie
* Promotion agencies or marketing consultants, do they work?
* Finding enough time and resources to market your film
* How your films have succeeded with an alternative strategy using niche film festivals, social networks or blogging.

Have you got anything to say? Right, sit down and make us a little video about it. You have full control over what you say and how you say it so take it away! ShoutBox videos will be featured on the FilmTiki front page, so you can be sure that your opinions will become part of a conversation about the changing industry with filmmakers from around the world. We want to reward the earliest of the earlybirds, so we're give our next ShoutBox submitter a DVD copy of Fatsy, a documentary about the last Austrian cowboy!

To submit a movie to FilmTiki ShoutBox, please email your video file to info@filmtiki.com. You can contact us on that email address at any time, for answers to any of the niggling questions you have about the ShoutBox or FilmTiki in general.

The Official Stuff

The clips submitted will be uploaded to FilmTiki's Dailymotion channel. By submitting a video you also agree to let FilmTiki place your video on our social network pages such as Facebook or MySpace. Take a look at our Terms and Conditions too.

Video guidelines
Your video should be:

* 3 minutes maximum length
* MP4 (H264), MOV, WMV or AVI format
* resolution of 320x240, 640x480 or 1280x720
* 25 frames per second
* submissions should be in English or have English subtitles
* prohibited content includes:
    o pornography
    o any content not suitable for people under 18
    o offensive, discriminatory or defamatory material
    o privacy or copyright violation
    o commercial messages
    o content which violates the terms of Dailymotion.com

FilmTiki reserves the right to reject videos which contain any material as listed above.
