What is FilmTiki?

FilmTiki is a service for filmmakers, providing strategic advice and support in all things Social Media: marketing, distribution, funding, audience building… you want it, we got it! We have been around since 2008, and have successfully established a niche consultancy service for indie filmmakers. However, to provide the best service to filmmakers, we need to go further…

 

Love film?

Filmlovers (also called “the audience”) play an essential part in the film industry. What good is a film if it doesn’t get seen? Filmmakers need engaged filmlovers to watch, love and spread their work to other filmlovers; and filmlovers need passionate filmmakers to make films they care about. This is why we want to bring those two lovebirds together… in a new way.

Our new mission

That’s why we have decided to go further than we have so far, by making FilmTiki a hub for filmmakers’ promotion, communication and distribution needs. Our plan is to roll out a variety of new features over the next year to help filmmakers not just plan their marketing and distribution strategies, but to actively help them come together with filmlovers, other filmmakers and eventually distributors. FilmTiki will become the filmmakers’ ultimate online marketing, community building and distribution hub. And the filmlovers’ ultimate source for what they want the most: fresh, new, inspiring films!

Our goal

This requires serious new development. Our various planned features (like rating and sharing features for filmlovers, filmmaker profiles and new strategic advice features) will be rolled out one by one, and some of them will be funded with the funds we raise on IndieGoGo.
