Since, the availability and security of our data is of the highest priority to us, we have a strong emphasis on  professional back-up solutions. How do I register?

Registering is easy - click on the Register link on the top bar, fill in your details and you will then receive a confirmation email that you have been registered.

What is my user profile?

Your FilmTiki user profile is where your contact details and information about yourself is stored, you can also check what Wiki articles you have written or edited as well as your Film Profiles. If you are subscribed to the Tool service your user profile also stores your previous queries.

I gave you my e-mail address but I never received my registration e-mail. How do I login?

When you register, our server sends an welcome e-mail with your username and password, along with a link to login. If you don't recieve this email immediately, please wait a couple of hours as delays can happen and often emails to free email services can take a bit longer. You should also double-check the address you provided, if it is incorrect the email will never reach you. Following this, check your anti-spam filters; if you or your e-mail provider have activated some kind of anti-spam filter to discard junkmail, our welcome email may have been trapped. If you're using programs like SpamCop or SpamArrest, which stop incoming e-mail from being delivered unless the sender manually clicks on the link provided in an automated reply, our email may have been stopped as a result. Free e-mail services like Hotmail.com also offer 'junkmail' filters which, at the highest setting, can trap most incoming email. Please check that the welcome e-mail isn't being discarded by one of these filters. If you have not received the email, visit the FilTiki login page and click on the request a new password tab, enter your email address and an email with a one off login to reset your username and password will be sent. Once set, you can use those details to login. If you still cannot access the site, please contact us at info@filmtiki.com

Why do I get an error message when I click on the link in the welcome e-mail?

Some email clients have trouble building the link when the URL is very long and can cut it off, which will result in an 'invalid code' error. If this happens, please cut and paste the link from our e-mail into a new browser window instead of clicking directly on the link in the email.

Every time I try to login I am told my username/password are incorrect, how can I login?

If your username and/or password are not recognised, try logging in again. If you have forgotten your password, you can request a new password by entering the email you used to register to FilmTiki. An email with a one off login to reset your username and password will be sent. Once set, you can use those details to access the site.

Why has my account been blocked?

There are various reasons why a user may have their account blocked, these include breaking FilmTiki's Terms and Conditions, not abiding by the Wiki Rules or infringing on somebody's copyright. When this occurs, the user will recieve an email notifying them and stating the reason for being blocked, if you feel you have been wrongly blocked you may write an explanantion in reply and the Administrator will then consider your case.

The search engine can't find what I am after, what should I do?

We use a standard search engine developed by Drupal. For more information on the module please refer to How the Drupal 6 search index works. If you are searching for individual words, try broadening your search or use longer, more detailed search phrases to reduce the number of matches. Although we aim to be as comprehensive as possible, if the information you're looking for isn't there, then it might be that we don't have it or it is currently unavailable. FilmTiki is constantly updating and growing so keep checking as the information you are after may come up at some point in the near future. Or else, please get in touch with us, and we can see if we can be of some assistance to your research.
