Austrian Team

Iris Lamprecht, CEO and founder

Iris is 32 years old and passionate about film and all things media. After finishing her MA in Media Studies and Public Relations at the University of Vienna, she went on to work in the film industry in New Zealand on local as well as Hollywood productions as a Production Coordinator and Assistant Director. She was also the coordinator of the Wellington Fringe Film Festival for several years and in 2007 she started working as a Social Media Consultant. Apart from her work with FilmTiki Iris is a Media studies lecturer at several universities in Vienna and London.

Combining her enthusiasm for both communication and film she initiated the development of FilmTiki. Her enthusiasm and creative approach to utilizing media along with her knack for communicating issues to a variety of audiences make her a sought-after speaker and project leader.

Andreas Hafenscher, Web Design Team Leader and Technical Supervisor

Andreas is a passionate web-designer, focusing on accessibility and imagery. He has lived his professional life online since 1995 in various occupations. After being a project leader in a large software company, he took a dramatic career shift and studied physical therapy. On completing this qualification he devoted a year to being a stay-at-home dad to his newly born daughter. In 2007, Andi started out as a freelance web designer and pursued his passion for photography. Working on FilmTiki, Andi once again takes on the role of technical supervisor and is excited to be working on the realisation of this innovative idea.

Hans Lamprecht, Senior Technical Consultant

Hans is 56 years old and finished his studies in theoretical physics in the early seventies. Since then he has worked in the IT industry in a wide range of roles. Hans' interests span astronomy and cosmology to computers and photography.

Throughout his time in the IT industry he has kept a close eye on the technological developments which have helped to evolve the internet. His understanding of this evolution, coupled with his immense technical knowledge, makes him a great resource for the FilmTiki team.

Wolfgang Riepl, Software Developer

Wolfgang has been working as a software developer on a variety of projects for over nine years. After working on online platforms, he moved gradually into the banking industry, datamining and finally into the more scientific area of biosignal processing.

At FilmTiki, Wolfi is in charge of programming the highly complex (sounding) middle ware, the implementation of the business logic, not to mention finding and programming the right algorithms in order to generate the best results for you.

Wolfgang Gumpelmaier, Head of Marketing

Wolfgang was born in 1978 and moved to Vienna in 1997, where he studied communication science. He has always been interested in film, both in theory and in practice. During his studies he worked as a film critic and a journalist.

In recent years, he has extended his knowledge of online marketing, public relations and online communication. At FilmTiki Wolfgang is responsible for all marketing projects and enjoys putting in his two cents on everything concerning FilmTiki's development.

Ursula Seethaler, Senior Consultant

Along with her FilmTiki work, Ursula is also the CEO of Kier Communication Consultants GmbH - a media and communications research company. Their work and research focuses mainly in the development of tools for the evaluation of communication measures. In particular, Ursula is interested in quality assurance for websites, web-based network communications as well as activities of on-line PR. Beyond this, her experience and knowledge also includes market research through traditional online and offline channels.

Matthew Kerr, Website and Graphic Designer

Formerly of Canada and now hiding out in Vienna, Matthew is FilmTiki's website designer. Having just completed his Bachelor of Design at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, the 23-year-old has also established a successful website design and management company, while working on numerous other design projects in New Zealand, Canada and Europe.

New Zealand Team

Ruth Payne, Content Developer

Ruth works to ensure our Tool generates the best results possible, translating our in-depth research into pithy and useful recommendations for filmmakers. Having completed an undergraduate degree in film, Ruth traveled around the world working a series uninspiring jobs (including a brief stint for Rupert Murdoch in London) until she re-settled in our peaceful outpost in Wellington, New Zealand. In 2007 she returned to academia to complete an Honours degree, then became a tutor in Victoria University's Media Studies programme for all levels of undergraduate students. During her time at the University she focused on digital distribution, giving her a great theoretical background and grasp of the context for the changes underway in the cultural industries.

Matthew Davis, Editor

Based in Wellington, New Zealand, Matthew is our Wiki Content and Technical Editor. Having established a student radio station and worked as a news hound for the local daily rag, Matthew decided to work from the comfort of home as a freelance journalist - specialising in arts, film and music. In turn, his work as Filmtiki editor provides the perfect outlet not only for his interest in cinema and the media but his urge to correct everyone's grammar.
